What if I want to add more later?

Do you install it, or do I?

 Both, your call. Every stack ships with a self-install guide, or we can install same-week if you'd rather not touch it. 

What if I already have some smart home gear?

 Most existing Zigbee, Z-Wave, and Wi-Fi devices integrate straight into Home Assistant or openHAB — tell us what you've got and we'll build around it. 

Is there a subscription?

 Only if you choose one, like cloud camera backup. The network, controller platform, and local storage have no ongoing fees.
